Green Development Award   Hyacinth Place won "Development of the Year Award" from the Lake County Stormwater Management Division at a dinner on December 4, 2008 in Grayslake. HODC partnered with Brinshore Development, the Highland Park Illinois Community Land Trust and the City of Highland Park to develop Hyacinth Place. Community Service Award   HODC received a community service award from Manning Silverman and & Co. for "making our community a better place to live".  The award was presented at an awards dinner in Lincolnshire on November 17, 2004 . Humanitarian Award   HODC received the North Shore - Barrington Association of Realtors’ (NSBAR) 2002 Humanitarian award for developing affordable housing in Highland Park and Evanston. NSBAR’s annual Humanitarian Award recognizes outstanding achievement in the promotion of equal opportunity for all persons. Awards were presented at the NSBAR Awards Luncheon on September 26, 2002 at the Chevy Chase Country Club in Wheeling. Golden Trowel Award   HODC received the Statewide Housing Action Coalition (SHAC) 2002 Golden Trowel award for the development of Claridge Apartments in Evanston. SHAC’s annual Golden Trowel Award recognizes individuals and/or community-based groups that have made significant progress toward achieving housing justice in Illinois. Awards were presented at the SHAC Convention Golden Trowel Banquet  on November 12, 2002 at the Springfield Renaissance Hotel in Springfield.
